Please do keep in mind, that I did write these back in November 2007 and that one or two have already started to come true. But I wasn’t to know.

How to keep up to date with the Blogberry through RSS

What is an RSS feed?

Feeds, also known as RSS feeds, XML feeds, syndicated content, or web feeds, contain frequently updated content published by a website. They are usually used for news and blog websites, but are also used for distributing other types of digital content, including pictures, audio or video. The acronym RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, and is used to describe the technology used in creating feeds.

Does an RSS feed subscription cost any money?

No, it’s usually free to subscribe to a feed, and no personal data is exchanged. The Blogberry from thetechangel.com is free for all to read, so no money required. Only a little bit of time spent reading a few times a week.

Subscribing to the Blogberry RSS feed in Internet Explorer:

  1. Go to any page on the Blogberry, including this one.
  2. Click the Feeds button in the top right of Internet Explorer to discover feeds on the webpage.
    • feeds on the webpage button
  3. Click a feed (if more than one is available). If only one feed is available, you will go directly to that page.
  4. Click the Subscribe to this Feed button , and then click Subscribe to this Feed.
    • Subscribe button in IE
  5. Type a name for the feed and select the folder to create the feed in.
  6. Click Subscribe and you’re done!

How can I view my subscribed feeds for updates?

You view feeds on the Feeds tab in the Favourites Centre. To view your feeds:-

  1. click the Favourites Centre button
    • Favourites button in IE
  2. and then click Feeds.
    • Feeds button in IE

That’s it!
