Late last Tuesday night, GMT time, Microsoft met its self imposed deadline and has started shipping the hotly anticipated Windows Service Pack 1 for Vista. It’s mostly bug fixes and performance tweaks, but the sheer volume of ‘em is something to behold. Users are advised to download and install when prompted. It’s been a couple of years since I last did this, but it’s back – my tech predictions for 2008. 10 things which are most likely to happen in the next 12 months. By the way, this will hopefully be the last post I do for 2007.

This week, I am focusing on something a little different from the usual technology. But all the same, it is a technology that saves lives – smoke alarms.
