Monday, April 6th, 2009Malware is the merger of the words malicious and software. It is software designed to infiltrate or damage a computer system without the owner’s informed consent. The expression is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying software or program code. The term ‘computer virus’ is sometimes used as a catch-all phrase to include all types of malware, including true viruses.

Monday, March 23rd, 2009‘Enter’ key: The Enter key is found on the right-hand side of the keyboard. In most cases the key has the text written on it – either ‘Enter’ or ‘Return’ and then an arrow that starts on the right, goes downwards slightly and the veers off to the left. On some other machines there is no text, just the arrow.

Word of the Week: DRM
Monday, March 16th, 2009DRM: DRM stands for ‘Digital Rights Management’ which is used for protecting files from being used by all users (everybody and anyone) and limited its use to only selected users. DRM is often used on major music stores to make sure only the purchaser of the music is the one who uses it, and so that that they cannot redistributed it to anyone else for free.
