All of the changes begin from today through to August 1

From June 22nd Sky will be increasing the reliability and stability for on-net Sky Broadband connections, as well as introducing faster maximum download and upload speeds for Sky Broadband Mid (now up to 10Mb download and 600Kb upload) and Max (up to 20Mb download and 1.3Mb upload) – Sky will rollout these faster speeds for existing customers between July and September 2009.

They will also be moving their broadband data caps for customer with their mid-range package from 40GB to 10GBs. This change will happen on August 1st. Sky says the change is “in line with what the majority of Sky customers actually use”.

Sky will also be making changes to its free trial period of MacAfee security. This will be reduced on some products from the 22nd June as Sky will be reducing the free trial period of McAfee Internet Security from 12 months to 3 months on Sky Broadband Base, Mid and Connect. Sky Broadband Max and existing customers already registered for McAfee trial will continue to benefit from their 12 months free McAfee Internet Security service.

Finally, for those with the Sky Talk phone plan, from 1st September 2009, the monthly subscription price for Sky Talk Line Rental will be increasing from £10 a month to £11 a month, but remains cheaper than BT line rental.
