Just a quick word to say that I have now moved HQ, unpacked, got (semi) settled and working hard at getting back into a normal routine.
It's a bit hit-and-miss basically for the next fortnight.
Unfortunately there is something big missing in my life at the moment, something that I badly need – I have no broadband connection!
It’s sort of driving me insane, but it’s also quite calming not having it in a sort of double-negative way.
I am assured that it will be connected in a week or so, but this date has been pushed back by a week and half already. It all comes down to those people who manage the UK phone network. It’s also an example of bureaucracy at its best.
Lucky I planned ahead for this eventuality and opted to get a mobile broadband adaptor. It’s not fast, but it’s not slow either. So I am able to function somewhat.
This basically means I can do remote assistance etc, but I can’t download large emails, or work on customer websites for the time being.
Apologies for the rant – it’s now over and now off to manage some paperwork.
