‘The Beast File’: Google

Google, the world’s favourite search engine. The noun that became a verb. The company around the world that so many people trust.

But how much do you really know about Google? How much do they know about you? How much do you want them to know?

These are questions that I and many others have started to ask.

On ABC1 in Australia, a documentary [in a light current affairs format] aired asking ‘what defines Google as an advertising giant?’, and ‘what is it’s true, main goal?’ – to track users and deliver targeted advertising?

Whatever your opinion of the company that wants to “organize the world’s information” and “make it universally accessible and useful”, have your say below.
