I think Sky is playing it safe, maybe a bit too safe for the likes of its customers. Clearly a slow rollout rather than releasing the update into the wild in case there are some boxes which simply won't work the new EPG. Better that than hundreds / thousands of customers with broken boxes (imagine the admin backlog to get through that scenario!). Thanks for the info Dave.

I have queried sky and they tell me their HD Boxes are indeed only 50Hz so you will only get any 100Hz benefit from consoles & DVD playes capable of out put of 100Hz - Swizz all round.
