Your Email Address – Look After It

Never publish your address on a website no matter how comfortable you feel with the site, or for how long you have been using it; for example Facebook, even if you do have settings set to private. If people want to contact you, encourage them to click on your profile page which will allow them to contact you without them seeing your email address. You can then choose to respond from your Inbox should you want to.

Similarly, another reason not to publish your email address is because spammers will search the for email addresses. Once you’re on their books it maybe a lot of spam later to your inbox before you get off.
