Freeview users who watch the Virgin1 channel will need to rescan their Freeview box.
The rescan is for changes with the Virgin1 channel which now broadcasts 24 hours a day on Freeview.
For viewers in Wales Virgin1 is available from 9am to 7pm and on the +1 service from 7 pm.
Retuning (or rescanning) your set-top box is fairly straightforward. But, some set-top boxes and TVs retune automatically, others need to be manually retuned.
To manually retune you need to press “Menu” on your remote control and follow the on-screen instructions or those printed in your manual.
The process may differ slightly depending on which manufacturer box you have however typical sequence is:
- 1. Press MENU on your remote control.
- 2. From the Menu options, select the ‘Tuning Menu’
- 3. Select ‘Auto Setup’ or ‘Update’ to retune your digital TV*
- *also referred to as ‘Update’, ‘Rescan’, ‘Replace’ or ‘Store Channels’
