A few weeks ago you may well have seen or read in the news about Smart Meters for your home and them being installed in all homes across the UK.

It’s a government plan to have every home with smart meters instead of the old ticker or basic digital meters. This will help homeowners monitor how much energy we use.
The government also claims that the technology could help end wrongly estimated bills to customers being calculated.
The Smart Meters will also allow the energy companies to read the meters remotely, rather than knocking on doors in hope that they can read the meter manually.
