Live Mesh, the Cloud based service from Microsoft has unleashed itself for all just about all. The Mesh software can synchronise files and folders to the Cloud and across your other PCs and devices.
For example, should you want to work on a particular Document on your work PC and then maybe sneak off home early for the weekend on a Friday, and finish it on Sunday night on your home PC – then you can. No disks or USB flash drives needed. Just either drag-and-drop it into your Live Mesh folder or choose to share the folder with your Live Mesh devices and other PCs. It will then synchronise it and it will appear on all your other PCs or It really is that simple.
Better news still, and that is that although it’s in beta stages, Microsoft has released it now not only for Windows, but Mac’s and Windows based mobiles too. iPhones can also access the service.
Each Live Mesh account can have a storage folder the size of 5GB online or to another computer directly.
You only need to have a Windows Live account to use the service. If you already have one of the following: A Hotmail, Live Mail, or you use Live Messenger - then you are good to go!
Whilst this product is still be beta, I have been testing it and I can say – yes try it, it’s really useful. Best of all it costs nothing to try and it’s free for life!
