Every so often, I see a new gadget on the horizon and think “that really is a good idea”, it is however rare. This week, of all things, a wall clock caught my eye.
When standing in the kitchen, or looking at the bedside clock have you have realised that it’s no longer ticking away? Probably a few weeks have gone by as it started to slow, and days have gone by since it stopped.

Clever solar powered clock
It’s a bore too to have to find batteries which are the right kind (why in life is it that when you need them, you never have them, or they are the wrong kind???). Avoid this problem in future with a solar powered clock.
This stylish designed gadget may look very B&O, but the price tag is very reasonable at £25 (see image on right). The face has solar panels on the front.
It comes with both large hands or short hands if you want. So it can be wall mounted or just popped onto your desk if you want.
Do your battery budget and see why this is an environmentally and wallet friendly device.
And before anyone asks “what happens when the lights go out?”, the answer is: “it stores power up when the lights are on”.
