This month four “important” patches and fixes are available for download and installation from Microsoft for Windows.
One fix is for Vista and designed to stop “remote code execution”, which normally is tagged at “critical” by the updates team – oddly.
Windows XP doesn’t need this particular fix as it does not effect it. But, it has its own patches to stop spoofing risks.
Microsoft are also releasing a Malicious Software Removal Tool to help combat against certain threats.
All patches and fixes for both Windows and MS Office are available from Microsoft Update. For help with how to do this, click here for this back post.
There are updates for Microsoft Office Outlook too, mainly to fix “unexpected behaviour” and updated definitions to get rid of those pesky junk-mail messages.
