You may have noticed that it is / has been snowing outside today, this has resulted in all sorts of troubles on the roads and public transport. So I have decided that I am staying put and working from home today, and sadly for customers who have booked themselves in; I am not going to venture across the city – it is simply a hassle to try and negotiate commuting anywhere today.
I will be in touch with those customers who I have booked a time with to reschedule with.
As usual with snow:
- 1mm: results in a no school day
- 2mm: travel routes are tricky, public transport ‘”suspended”
- 2½mm: postal deliveries will be seriously delayed or suspended
- 3mm: supplies stop getting through (expect a news report to use that line today)
- 4mm: stock markets suspended and people are “trapped” at home.
- 5mm (half a centimetre): chaos! The Prime Minister addresses the Nation to reassure people.

Biggles in the snow this morning
It’s all going to get a little crazy today, and most likely a little bit later in the week. But at least the Internet still works, regardless of the weather.
Note
If the weather has the same effect tomorrow, there might be a repeat for Tuesday. So do check back for more info.
Photo of Biggles in the snow is expected shortly now here. He isn’t complaining about the weather or that I am staying home with him.
Update: 03.02.2009
Major travel issues again today. Seems as though most people are venturing out, but many just get half way and then turn back. I am still at the end of email, the phone or if you want, remote assistance.
