Apple has released a major set of security updates for the latest OS-X Mac operating system – 21 patches in all.
The main reason why users should be downloading and installing the update is because one of the patches fixes a vulnerability in Adobe Flash which is currently being exploited in the wild.
Update for Apple OS-X users
Apple too, has fixed its own PDF software from a similar issue related to the Adobe Flash Player fix.
Other patches for fixes cover areas such as the CoreGraphics, LibSystem, Bill of Materials, and other OS-X parts.
Safari has also been updated to stop hackers and attackers from stealing cookies used to validate users details on a secure website. Further to this, another fix is to stop users from downloading possibly unsafe files without any warning.
To update on OS-X:
Press the Apple logo in the top left of the screen > Software Update > Software Update will start > install any available updates by ticking the boxes on the left > Press ‘Install’ button and wait for installation to complete, then restart if requested.
